Dollar Tree

Today has been busy and fun and all sorts of wonderful. One of my favorite parts so far is my find at the dollar tree. I have been looking for a cheap hat to wear this summer. We go swimming often and to Seven Peaks, and after my hair just goes crazy. I have found a few that were $20 ish but wasn't willing to buy them, since I don't look great in hats. As I was quickly picking some things up for tonight's picnic, I scored this baby:)

Phillip Phillips

Jordan and I have had a great month! Yesterday we wee able to finish it off with a fun concert with my parents. The concert was opened by Churchill and then the amazing Phillip Phillips. I never knew he was so goofy! He made a lot of jokes and even turned around and shook his bum at us. I had a really good time:)

Spring Break

Zeus and I had a really great spring break last week. We just hung out and went to work Monday-Friday and then Friday night we left for my sister Jen's house. The weekend was so fun! We went to Essie's first Soccer game, ate yummy food, played fun games, went on a hike and just spent time together. I really love spending time with family! Here comes an overload of pictures...

Fly a kite!

For Christmas, my sister Jen and her family gave us a really cool kite. It is one that can do fun tricks, if you learn. We had tried once to fly it with friends, but the wind was not very cooperative. A few weekends ago I decided to ask Jordan on a date. The date began with flying our kite. It was a perfect windy day. We were able to fly it with no problems, well only a few problems. As soon as we got it out I grabbed the kite part and gave Jord the handles. The wind hit the kite in my hands and the kite hit my face then soared into the air. It really hurt! I had a fat lip for a day or two. The other problems included excess wind, kites hitting the ground going really fast, the string breaking and a hole in the kite. Luckily the kite company is awesome and will help it run as good as new. After our kite adventure we went window shopping and finished the date with a blindfolded drive to our favorite sushi place. It was a great date!

Weight a Minute!

I have been contemplating this post for a few months, but have always worried that it would hurt feelings, and never knew the right way to word things. As a disclaimer, I don't want anybody to take this post personally. K? K.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when people comment on weight. Weight and size are personal.I think I have lost a little weight in the past year or so. I wouldn't know since I haven't weighed myself since middle school. It is a number that I choose not to know. It seems like daily I have someone who will tell me how "small" or "skinny" I am looking. I know this is a nice compliment for most, but to me it is saying, "You look better than I remember," or "Your not as fat anymore." I know this is just me being self conscious and maybe even vain. Anyway the point of this is, if you give me a compliment about my size and I say something awkward like "That's a good thing, I guess?" I promise I am not trying to be crazy. I am just uncomfortable with the idea of others paying attention to my size/weight and so my reaction comes out bad. I hope I am not the only one who doesn't react well in all situations.

On a bright note, It is officially Spring Break and I get to go see my sister Jen:) On a sad note, Jordan didn't get work off, so we only get to go for two days:(

Hope & Some Dinner

Dieter F. Uchtdorf
In Relief Society this last Sunday we had a really great lesson that followed a talk from general conference. It is called The Infinite Power of Hope. If you need hope in your life, read it:)

I also made a fantastic meal last night. It is from The Pioneer Woman, who is my favorite. If you need a good, healthy meal idea, make it:)
